Saint Julien Red Bordeaux Blend

Delicious after a couple hours

Really solid for a 2008. Drinking beautifully with a solid layer of secondary notes.

Dark dark ruby. Tannins holding strong, a bit tight at the open, but loosens up to a wonderful silky mouthfeel. Black fruit in balance with minerality. Lovely wine but tonight I preferred the Pape Clement.

Classic “male” Left Bank Bordeaux. Love it.

Neus: 96

Always solid! Not the best vintage, but enjoyable. Classic Bordeaux.

Vegetal nose with leather and tobacco. 60 cab. 30 merlot. 7 pv
