The Marquis is an estate adjacent to Leoville in St. Julien. It is not the 2nd label to Leoville Las Cases. I was impressed with structure and balance. Dusty and earth driven but abundant fruit. Excellent QPR.

Quite soft but great length and a sort of slowly creeping charm. Not a fireworks style but rather demure and complementary. Plenty life ahead, might develop much more complexity— this was definitely still first plateau.
