HWT - nice and bolder than I expected for a French 13.5, but for $40 I’d rather old ghost, etc

Black cherry, mineral and some smoke. Medium weight tannins but well integrated.

Garnet in color. Light at first and building to a smooth mouthfeel and then a wash of tannins. Red fruits and currants. A touch of pepper at the end.

Good mouthfeel, very drinkable. Not sweet at all but also not dry. Just a bit flat in regards to flavor but an enjoyable bottle. Perfect for a steak dinner as the wine won't overpower the flavor of the food.
