Château Le Bon Pasteur
Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend
Nose: cold black fruits (cassis, blackberry) with leather, licorice, tobacco and cedar wood. And also some bellpepper i think. Very complex.
Palate: warmer fruit notes (plum, but also dark berries), high but ripe tannins, medium alcohol, fine medium+ acidity, very well balanced & structured.
At the beginning still a bit closed but I‘d still drink this vintage 2000 now (or max. 5 years from now) - after some time in the decanter.

Earth and cedar on the nose and palate, fine tannins, med weight, drinking nicely at this stage

May 21st, 2017Showing very well; still powerful fruit, but Violet's beginning to take over. Savory, and a touch bloody. Perfect with tonight's fillet

Smooth, licorice and bright black fruit. A little green that kept it from a higher score, I suspect will disappear with more bottle time. #3/7, all over the map. Nice. How merlot can you go, blind tasting.
