Mid Ruby with a tawny rim. Earthy savoury mature aromas befitting a 34 year old right bank claret. Barely medium weight but a beautiful old red in perfect balance. On the drinking plateau. 65% Merlot 30% Cabernet Franc 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Thanks for bringing Bookie.

Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classe, that seems to deliver well bellow its famous classification, indeed 2007 was not a great year, yet I did have some pleasant wines out of this vintage. This one has a deep dark color, typical Bordeaux nose full of black current, cassis, spicy wood, cherries, touch of vanilla, dry leaves and a touch of dust, full body fruity with dry tannins, good acidity and long dry finish. Quite elegant and mild cool year character. My score 87, drink to 2024
