It is Friday and it is time to have my favorite Bordeaux. The 2002 to vintage was not a very good vintage though the Medoc was better than average compared to the rest of the Left Bank. Going in I am not expecting to be wowed. That being said I will keep an open mind and hopefully I will be surprised. The nose is expressive with dark fruit, blackberries, stewed prunes, black currant, and licorice. On the palate I can detect notes of blackberries, black cherry, currant, cassis, some herbal notes, a smooth mouth feel, and a little on the lighter side. Smooth medium tannins, light acidity, drinking very well right now. N
