This was a lovely dry Riesling from Seneca Lake, which is called the Banana Belt due to its microclimate of being a couple of degrees warmer thus producing more "tropical" fruit. Pure flavors of mandarin and mango, zest and exotic flavors with a little prickle on the palate. But what really impressed me was the fact I vacuum sealed it and five days later it was still in great shape. Impressive! Sample. Retail Price USD $15.

Purchased at the winery. Subtle bouquet of citrus and minerals. Initial taste of mild green apples and pears then citrus then minerals as the layers present themselves. This is a dry Riesling but ever so slightly sweet.

At one time this winery was one of the leaders in the Finger Lakes. Then it faded somewhat. I think it has new owners. I don’t like the new labels. The older ones were more classy. The big lettering screams “crap wine inside.” Ok so it’s not that bad but very one dimensional. Quite pleasant and seems to go with food but overall a bit limited. I’m not sure which direction this popular winery is headed.

Semi dry Riesling. Light floral and crispy. Balanced acidity and fruit. Real drinkable

Almost clear in color with the slightest golden hue. Medium nose with subtle hints of grapefruit and vodka. Very thick on the palate, but a classic Dry Riesling throughout. Rather short finish, but very nice.

I'm not a finger lakes expert but this is very nice. Sweet but not too sweet with a bit of zest. Great inexpensive wine to serve with Chinese food.
