Very flavoursome, smooth with almost smoky notes. Drank with a rump steak, perfect accompaniment, both complemented each other.

Nice structure, depth, some complexity. Still pretty young. This '09 needs a few years to open up

Inexpensive Bordeaux, pale brick color, mainly red fruits, soft tannins, with medium body. Does not blow the mind off, feels thin, especially finish, but it only gets better and better with aeration & it is so fairly priced. Well balanced, so it's a pleasure to drink it, no heavy oak nor jammy notes, doze of light menthol and acidity feels refreshing. I would rate it 86-87pts. Never tried serious left banker so hard to place it into line - but it's really good wine.

At first this was all green bell pepper and thin, but after an hour decanting opened to reveal some nice tart dark fruit. Just a level above rustic, I'd expect this to open up with 5 more years (like the 2004 I've had recently), where it will taste above its price point. But now, with bistro-style food? No complaints.

Leather, earthy, a bit of tannin. Cherry aftertaste. Easy to drink.
