Definitely over the hill, but hiding tertiary notes well. Sweet tobacco and cigar ash, figs, and a dirty bing cherry all on the front. Gives way to more of an herbal-rich middle and harder, bramblier finish. I love to taste these CDP's on the other side of the hill. Impressed by this bottle, as the complexity here certainly shines on this 20 year old CDP.

Jun 21st, 2015Probably the best red wine I've ever drank. Very complex flavor, initially a bit spicy, ate it on the new kitchen table in Exton with the whole family and Auntie Pearl the day after getting back from China.
