Perfectly stored example. Needed a few minutes to strut it’s stuff but when it did Wowie. Dark bramly fruit, soft tannins (but still some grip) and a lovely soily profile with a finish that goes on for days. I can’t imagine there are too many well stored examples as this outside the chateau. Dare I say it was still young?

Subtle, attractive with layered red berry fruit, touch of five spice and rose petal, sweet tobacco, touch of graphite, feminine, attractive. Lacks on the palate though, drinkable but lacking the definition that you get on the nose, finish does have some elegant red fruit but still too drying to make this really shine.

1990. Very approachable, probably a little past peak. Delicate, still some nice fruit, but an off taste, too. The 90 COS last night was better!
