Château La Grave
Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend
I rated this excellent Bordeaux before. This is what a Bordeaux should taste like. Great wine and very consistent in quality from year to year. Enjoy with beef, veal, pasta & other light fare.

For $10.99 this wine is fantastic! Medium body, medium finish, ready to drink. Great for a weeknight.

Oct 1st, 2015I can't help it; when I get ready to try a Medoc I can't help but think of "The Telltale Heart" and I go all Edgar Allen Poe. I do resist the temptation to wall somebody up of course..really I do. This '09 is really a steal for the price. The values in second growth Bordeaux in '09 through '11 are excellent. The La Grave is really good; deep leather and dirt that makes Bourdeux so different than anything Cali can do. I like it right out of the bottle but a half hour makes a big difference and the depth and complexity really improves the finish. It really does stay on the tongue. So I'll stay off the EAP tendencies and won't say "never more". I'll say gimme another glass. Hold the bricks though.
