Deep garnet
Pronounced primary aromas of black fruits (plum, blackberry and dark cherry) secondary aromas of oak (cedar, cigar box and smoke) and tertiary aromas of tobacco, balsamic and plum jam. On the palate it's dry, medium+ acidity, high fine tannins and medium+ alcohol. Medium+ body. It has pronounced intensity flavors of ripe plums and black cherries, dried black currants, dried carnations and ash and cigar smoke. Very good, bordering on outstanding. It's very complex in aromas with every whiff reminding you of something different, now it's giving me sautéed shallots now it's giving me a roasted meat aroma and yet it's rather dry and slightly bitter and metallic on the palate, it's missing a soft texture or a silkiness.

Bold nose on this one big on the cabernet franc, vegetal and peppery. That pepper dominates on the palate but also has some nice red fruits backing it up. Short finish, but for a sub-$20 wine it's a minimal complaint.

Jun 29th, 2014A total disappointment for me. Totally devoid of the body and finish I'd expect from a St. Emelion Bordeaux. Sweet like a house pinot, with a pronounced unpleasant after taste.

Mar 10th, 2019Excellent blend of merlot and cab franc. Rich without being overbearing. A little floral and jammy all at the same time. Great with food.
