Elegant and complex with cassis , lead pencil . Underbrush , cocoa and saline aromas leading to a mineral driven , animal and black cherry , blue berry palate . Long and powerful finish with some tannins that should help this age another 10 years no problem . Another great 1985 Bordeaux and I’m so glad Parker missed this vintage for the wines are still affordable .

Tough to follow the burg. Not the same refined textures. I think if alone I'd appreciate it more. Still like right banks though! Thanks Greg!

Currently in a great place, well balanced, pure and precise with warm gravel and earthy, delicate red berry silky texture - superb

Delicious claret fully mature soft with still sweet rich fruit. Cedar pencil and leather on the nose lingering silky finish.

1985 vintage. Medium garnet. Pronounced. Elegant and delicate wine. Very interesting nose of cedar, pencil sharpenings, mushroom, black pepper and coffee. Truffle notes. Medium plus acidity and long length. Tannins are medium with some grip but well integrated. Really enjoyable. Lacks a little concentration and freshness.
