Very pronounced nose with juicy cherries bursting through, pepperish and meaty as well. On the palate the fruits are more subdued dominated by tertiary flavors - dried herbs, forest leaves, a bit of smoke. Reminds me of a late Autumn afternoon in the woods.

1989 vintage. Lovely and complex Bordeaux nose, great acidity, fruit, and enough tannin to keep nice balance. Wow and I was worried it might have been over the hill.
