Dark crimson with purple hues in color. Very aromatic nose giving the wine it’s beautiful scents of black-red fruit, perfume, milk chocolate and toasted marshmallow with subtle notes of mint and cigar. Taste is smooth and elegant with a luscious feel. Red fruit/dark plum , spice and mocha flavors are dominant with secondary notes of gravel, tobacco and leather adding to its dry medium plus finish. A treat for sure on this lovely Saturday night.

2 hour decant(decent fine/chunky sediment). A majestic purplish dark magenta color. On the nose: bursting from the glass are notes of red and black fruit, charred wood, milk chocolate, some mint, touch of cigar box. Taste: smooth, delicate, elegant wine with red berries/plum, leather, gravel, herbaceous, mocha, and a spiced tobacco medium plus finish. YUM! Drinks well with the decant, but no hurry, time to go.

argh, the agony.... '08 is tasty! really quite an enjoyable drinker that ought gather lots of praise and rate top dollar. it's pop first growth now and metallica will probably start hawk'n it like they do brioni. how is brioni metal? it's not but then neither is metallic;-) more importantly though, how is this haut-brion?

First Haut-Brion and it was a fun experience. Opened up with just a quick decant. Fresh, but with some good volume. Very enjoyable experience.
