The perfect sipper to celebrate/mourn dear friends moving back to Paris. Once it opens up, it's simply spectacular.

Touch green, but classic 83, firm on the palate and slightly light back palate

1983 Haut Brion. A wonderful bottle. Earthy, Tobacco, Tar, Wet Brown Leaves, Dark fruit.. Still holding up very nicely.. #PessacLeognan #Bordeaux

This well-preserved bottle did not disappoint albeit I think that it is in decline from its ideal maturity. The tannins were perfectly integrated and soft, and the fruit has started to decline on the front palette. The color is claret and is less intense than a younger Bordeaux.

Quien dijo que el 83 en Burdeos fue un año mediocre?Casi 40 años y todavia como coco.... Un premio al que lo mantuvo en excelentes condiciones por tantos años...en la nariz muy obvio a tierra/piedra/grafito.. delicious!
