Nice and juicy, ruby dark fruits. Dry round, firm tannins. Earthy stone, dark dry soil & clay finish. Will be very good in time.

Drank 1/18/19 at the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux event in Miami. All wines from the 2016 Vintage.

Tasting pour, no formal notes taken. Most of these wines are very tight, and will require 5-15 years to really come together. Many will likely improve a few points with time.

Surprisingly ripe and present. Deep sweet blue fruit. A hint of tobacco. On the palate quite full and a bit reduced. Overall quite tasty if a little plodding.

Bell pepper on the nose. Dust and tar, dark fruits. Nice balance. Nice complex tertiary notes.

This 2005 Haut-Bailly is rich and ripe. Although fruit driven, there is a delicious mineral quality too that gives some freshness. Certainly tasty now but not sure how much of a long lived wine this is.

Very out there and expressive, the 2003 Haut-Bailly is spicy with tobacco and a touch of ripeness with raisins. Good intensity and persistence.
