Nice nose with a medium to dark color with slightly browning edges & a moderate body in spite of only 12% alcohol & with nice complexity & a moderately long aftertaste.

Drinking the 1978 in 2016 after a ten hour decant. Dark purple colour with some brown / red brick tinges. Lovely nose of cassis, mocha and leather. Clearly past its best with most of the fruit faded though a little raspberry remains, also some coffee. Of historical interest as is the first vintage produced by the current owner.
