Tasting of 1999 2nd growths. Brick red with brown edges. Initial faint musty aroma suggested TCA, but it eventually dissipated, so probably not. Unfortunately, once I smell cork taint, that's all I smell in the glass. Woody, with faint red fruit flavors and good acidity. Still firm tannic finish.

Red fruit leather, fresh sweet tarragon, smoked red currant, pressed dry cassis, a slight oyster shell to light purple olive. Baked brick and slight red pepper flake on the long finish.

Classic nose with red fruit and a hint of toffee. Palate is well balanced with nice acidity, tobacco, leather, blueberry jam and lead pencil on the finish.
