Beautiful, deep, dark color with a dark purple rim. The legs form nice and slowly, although not evenly. The nose is delightful with a wonderful fruitiness composed of ripe berries, sweet grapes, and dark chocolate. The palate isn't as sweet as I expected given the nose. There is a nice fruitiness in the very beginning that starts off sweet, but immediately transitions to dry. This combines with smooth, round, long lasting tannins. If the palate matched the nose, I'd give this 8 points.

Heavy wine. Nicely balanced. Having this with Asian food. Nice pairing.
