Vigne du Prieuré Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend

The flavor profile is very much like a Ruby Port. On the nose it seems like high alcohol. The tannins are smooth and silky. #cotesdurhone

Great value from a wine from a well regarded Chateauneuf du Pape producer. Black cherry, Plum, white pepper. Plush mouthfeel with nice structure and balance.

Not too heavy. Low acidity, but with a little bite and a smooth finish.

Leathery nose, but quite fruity. Silky smooth with delightfully light tannins. Long, smooth finish with ripe fruits and very juicy. Cedar box, smoke, herbal, tones of licorice are all classic Rhone blend flavors. This one seems more vibrant and juicy. $16 from Village Corner.

Pretty good

Not remarkable, but delicious and dry. Good to have around on hand.

Interesting little Côte du Rhône. The scent is not necessarily agreeable, even if highly original. First taste was very unique and different than the nose, not fruity, a little spicy and a whole lot of body. Continued to open up and smooth out. I like it because it’s unique!
