kinda bummed . earlier bottles showed better. must be hitting that awkward phase...

Mar 28th, 2014My first Burgundy. It was different than the California pinots I've had. Less fruit and more acidity and minerality. But it's something that could grow on me. A solid bottle nonetheless.

I can tell its a Pinot but doesn't have a lot I the characteristics I come to expect. Has a floral nose and minimal fruit and berry on the pallet. Not the most balanced wine ever but some good flavors. Preferred it with some goat cheese, brings out the strawberry.
