Nicely structured but still waiting to be blown away by a red Burgundy.

My first Burgundy. It was different than the California pinots I've had. Less fruit and more acidity and minerality. But it's something that could grow on me. A solid bottle nonetheless.

I can tell its a Pinot but doesn't have a lot I the characteristics I come to expect. Has a floral nose and minimal fruit and berry on the pallet. Not the most balanced wine ever but some good flavors. Preferred it with some goat cheese, brings out the strawberry.
