right bank of gironde. this one us a coupage of cab. franc and merlot. no cab. sauvignon at all. first, the colour: it’s deep dark ruby red. what i love in bordeaux when they get older is this rusty red coming to brown. here there is nothing like this.
nose is deep, oaky and earthy.
the wine is bold, tannic and very dry. in mouth blackberry, leather, smoke and black fruits plus what i felt in nose. for me too aggressive. i like right bank but when cab. sauv. is in and merlot drives on a front seat. not this one.
