2016 vintage. "Forces de Vie" is the top wine of this biodynamically farmed 22 hectares estate, and it is amazing. Mainly Merlot (85%) with Cabernet Sauvignon. According to the website it is aged in 100% new oak, which is hard to believe as it is so well-integrated. Give it time to open up, as this seems build to age. Classy nose with ripe black cherries, cassis, flowers, very subtle cedar wood and a distinctive mineral touch. Very elegant and profound, it combines power and subtlety. Very impressive and cheap at 25 euros for this quality. Abv. 13%.

A organic Bordeaux from cotes de Bourge, produced in an estate that is dating back to 1778. However current owners, a big Bordeaux merchant family took over in 1976. A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% CS , lovely tempting nose, rich and intriguing, with red berries, black current, sweet spices, vanilla, cloves and licorice, full body rich, full of firm tannins and fine acidity. Give this baby some time to mature and you will be rewarded. My score 88, drink 2017-2027
