This one has turned the corner and living up to its promise. A heady, powerful, maximalist style. Lush black fruit, smoke, toast, and graphite. Though revealing today, still coarse on the edges and will reward another year of cellaring.

Soft. Good fruit profile but lacking acid. Better it’s being drunk now then a year from.

2010 is tasting great. Soft tannins, smooth, complex with notes of tart ref fruit, tobacco, chocolate.

Happy valentine's day aka my first date and engagement anniversary with my wife (got married in 2010). Big black and blue fruits with charcoal, mint, eucalyptus, and cedar along with tannins that are still showing fairly well. No rush, easily have a decade plus to go.

Cedar, dark fruit, chocolate, coffee. Good long finish. Lots of stuffing and I think many years to go. Some tannins, but worth opening now if you have more than one bottle. Recommend 2+ hour decant.

Fantastic wine. Two things stand out: heavy ripe blackberries and iron pan and I love that iron soil.. just the right amount to be noticeable. Not herby but the alcohol coalesces with the fruit with beef nicely. Best dinner of my life. Seriously amazing everything. Check this place out in Monterey.
