Valle d'Aosta Torrette Petit Rouge Mayolet
Another pleasing Ital MTN vino, just wish sommeliers would offer these over those over production homogenized wines

Jun 3rd, 201390% Petite Rouge and 10% Mayolet. Medium to dark garnet color with a ruby core. Nice funky nose with accents of dried violets and pepper spice. Black berry/plum flavors fill the palate with that hint of pepper spice on the finish. Soft tannins, nice acidity and excellent length. Very “Beaujolais-like!” Thank you for sharing, Ron B!

May 6th, 2023The ten percent of Mayolet adds a softness to the petit rouge: a bit of fruit to the tannins and acidity. These vineyards produce wonderful wines.
