Like potpourri. May pass again but didn't mind it. Helen's.

A bottle saved from my trip to Bordeaux. Heady and complex, full bodied. Made from vines planted in 1920. Wishing it was available in NYC.

Great value solid Bordeaux with some nice age on it. Deep Ruby color and medium bodied. Muted dark bramble fruit with notes of leather and spice and smooth silky tannins on the finish. Drinks very well and pairs great with red meat.

Aromas are fully opened up. Clay earthiness, forest, Med plus inensity, ripen black fig, dark cherry, int pencil shade shade and layers of vanilla and oak character. Med body, tons of black pepper and red spicy red pepper spices, bittrness and vanilla oak on the second palate, med plus tannin, long lingering finish of butterscotch whiskey finish. Great steak with butter wine.

Still lots of fresh fruit, especially on the nose. Allowed it to breath for 24 hours, which really helped open the wine. Full bodied.
