Perfection in every drop. Viscous, drop dead gorgeous with a stunning iodine like color, bright and deep. The nose is perhaps of the most complex I have ever experienced in my life. a beautiful blend of light anis, quince marmalade, creamy Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, warm notes of cedar and TONS of botrytis. I am still dreaming of this spectacular acidity, almost divine, ethereal, feather like. This is not made by Man, this is of Divine proportion.

Great rich honey and cinnamon, the palate was a perfect balance of acidity and still had the feeling of fresh pressed apples under the sweetness.

1947 vintage: amazingly fresh (hints of fresh fruit, but mainly candied, dried and cooked fruits), very intense and long (so many roasted, spicy and confected nuances), still sweet but I don't think it would hold up to many desserts, much better as the start to a meal, pair with super rich foods
