Cahors Malbec

Another young soul in an old world body. I put this solidly in the...solid realm. It has berries and some cedar/pencil lead and it is a rather uptown cahors but I’ll take it! Meanwhile I’ll just keep trying to match bottle to shirt to eyes here.

Medium ruby; medium intensity aromas of cranberry, sour cherry, strawberries, earth, funk; dry, medium acid, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium intensity flavors of cranberry, cherry, earth, mushroom

Thick and chewy. Beautiful black/blue meaty fruit.

Not as deep colored and riche as expected for a cahor. Pleasant to drink

Nice dark fruit. Short finish and rather round for a Cahors. Definitely on the modern end of the spectrum.

Organic, barnyard, acid, juicy!

Righteous, good value.
