Sep 28th, 2019So very yummy. It’s tartness at the beginning makes my cheeks tickle/pucker in the best way. As it opens, It lost tartness and became more tannin filled.

Tasted at Chateau
60 CS, 40 M, 15 months in French oak, 35% new.
Fading yet still inky purple but no sign of browning. Compact rim.
The bouquet shows much advanced integration than the 2010 first wine tasted alongside. Crème de cassis, mushroom, wet log, dried flowers, rose petal, orange zest.
On the palate, it shows dusty tannin, med bodied with med plus acidity. Cabernet dominated profile. Leafy, slightly minty, dried herb, but with good amount of dark fruit.
Although nowhere near the level of concentration of the grand vin. Decent effort. 89.
