One of three chenins at a midtown Manhattan wine shop with staff that didn't know where to help me find a Chenin blanc. Ok value at $20. but a little one sided and simple. nothing to write an essay about.

#OffDry apricot, mandarin orange, lime, salty minerality... Easy drinking. Nice for those who like a touch of residual sugar.

A bit on the sweet side. Fuji Apple. Worked better when counterbalanced with bacon. Would probably be good with spicy dishes.

Iight straw, clear, bright.
Ripe Asian pear and yellow apple show up first followed by a whiff of white pepper but I fail to find the chamomile as suggested by wine folly.
The sweetness is the only thing you notice on first taste and it cleans up into a lingering fruit-cup fruit syrup. A moderate to mod+ acid keep some balance while the minerality rides sidecar. Considering this is from France and is sweet, it still has a noticeable amount of alcohol (12% on this 2015)
A nice wine but not my cup of tea.
