Ripe and hedonistic, showing the weight of the vintage. Could easily be seen as a leaner Napa producer, but the astringency of the tannins and taught lines pull it back to France. Drink more Bordeaux, people! It's not as expensive or as elusive as you think.

I have to give it to the French. Complex nose and profile. They achieve a wine with ample dark fruits and at the same time, the wine remains very dry. This is a serious wine.
