I sat with this wine to learn from it. Smelled it for 30 mins before sipping. I got cherry notes that quickly gave way to bakers yeast and cedar woods, dead French bark. Upon tasting again the fruit was very subtle mid-pallet until a horse dawning a very old leather saddle ran thru my mouth and whipped me into submission with a thistle branch. Ok hello 10 year old inexpensive Bordeaux!

Chateau de Nardon, 2012. Purchased October 2016. A good wine at the price (USD $15). Lots of red fruit. Very little complexity as it lays flat on the tongue. However, if you are bored with Beaujolais and looking for something medium bodied that compliments a gamey sausage this will do.

Oct 29th, 2016Quel dommage ! Ce vin est trop vieux. Les notes très brunes le soulignent... De la volatile est présente, trop pour moi. Malgré tout, le bois est bien intégré et le vin est rond.

Oct 2nd, 2016A good wine. Casis, dark fruit on the attack. Blueberries, fresh herbs and back pepper mid-plalet. Unripe berries and burnt herbs on finish.
