Nice rhone white. Better than the last bottle we had. Some tropical fruits. Nice balance and body and mouthfeel. Acid slightly lower but still a refined finish.

Although the winemaking tradition of the Brunel family dates to the 17th century. Gaston Brunel, purchased the Chateau de la Gardine in Chateauneuf du Pape in 1945. This Blanc has a light yellow body with hints of pale green. The palate is aromatic, presenting floral and fennel notes. A very tasty and fresh wine. Excellent pairing with Escargot and chicken.

May 5th, 2022Last had this in 2015, and I recall enjoying it then. Less so tonight - quite one note with minimal acid and fruit coming through. Haven’t had a white rhone I enjoyed in a decent bit of time.
