Ripe, but subtle. I assume this is a Merlot / Cab Franc blend. One can certainly pick up on the chalky minerality of the latter. Finishes clean.

This is the black t shirt of wines. Goes with most things, inoffensive yet far from striking and stylish enough to be acceptable. I hear this would be good in a few years though I lack the patience for any of that
