This was the star of the night, super intense, wafting nose of the sweetest, spiciest dark fruits, a touch of animal and wet woods floor, and marinated olives. No noticeable wood breaching its sanctity, i wish i had all night to sit with this... Palate was so pristine and spherical, not real concentrated but perfectly ready and bursting with flavor. A decadent, mystical and masterful wine, that stole it from some big burgs, barolos and bordeauxs. Rayas you are awesome....1996 vintage.

1996 vintage going strong. Ethereal perfume, silky texture, mild and slippery tannins. Just a lovely wine, as good as a Cotes du Rhone can be!

Last lunch wine of the trip. Fantastic bottle. Daniel drank the sediment (which is a huge compliment). A really great trip all around. Thanks to the whole team.
