Château de Ferrand
Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend

Holy French cannoli! Ten years later this grand cru is smooth as can be, and there is a depth to the wine that is hard to surpass.

Nice oaky notes. Good dark fruit with some tannins. Husband thinks it’s over Oaked.

After 30 minutes this opened up a bit. Still too young but solid flavors of rosemary, earth, oak, and raspberry. As you can see classic Merlot color and paired well with the BBQ burgers tonight. Good not great but it still needs a good 5 years to fully develop.

Well balanced, complex. Powerful nose of rich dark cherries, plum skin, ripe black berry. Fresh, tart palate showing cedar, dark chocolate, and spice with a lingering finish.

Respectable Bordeaux at a reasonable price and readily available (Total Wine). Took me back to Paris. Not the best pairing with steak but lovely to enjoy before or after dinner, especially after 30 minutes. ...More please.
