The deep gold '94 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc White Rhone Blend is decidedly fully mature. A tad sherried with a hint of oxidation, this white floats aromas of honeyed poached pears, ginger and butterscotch by the nose. Well-structured, but dense, it is somewhat austere in the dry mid-palate before fading to a lingering finish.
