Ok, so this is an interesting wine. Like its big brother, the chateau Neuf du Pape you cannot rush this wine. Uncorked it tastes like vinegar or a cheap cheap red plonk. But give it a day to air (yes it needs a day) and it rewards with a full bodied, well thought out blend of flavours (I am English and that's how you spell it). It's really a great wine hiding behind tough exterior. Put the time and effort in and you'll be rewarded with a wine that is almost up to the level of it big brother. Go forth a sup to your hearts content. It's a lovely wine.
