$15, very old world taste and smell to it. Those are not my favorite.

Has a nice story as well: the winemaker bought a small vineyard just outside Pomerol to make wines he loves without having to think about rules and regulations.

Médium ruby garnet , medium garnet rim . This takes a little time to come together with a herbal tinge to complement the ripe summer fruits , raspberry jam and dark cherry and currants . On the palate this is a little sweet with a herbal tinge to the blackberry , current , and cherry notes . Ok balance , though the alcohol is a little noticable , rounded tannins but a little short on the cherry , blackberry tinged finish . This is ready though there is some fruit left however, I would drink now and over the next 5 years.
The back story to this wine is that my father purchased 3 cases of this wine en primeur , on my recommendation . Parker gave it quite a high score, if I remember correctly, and dad generally liked ‘those kind of wines’. He left the 3 cases in his garage through summers and winters. Alright , it was a shaded garage in the UK but after I complained he put the remaining bottles in this wine fridge (that I had conveniently bought for him as a birthday present a few years prior). A few years later he told me that he didn’t like the wine much and had given more away to employees , neighbours , the postman , his travel agent and passers by etc than he had drunk himself . This was the last bottle of those 3 cases , and I think he actually might have enjoyed it … cheers Dad !
