Makes me want to give up trying and sampling other reds from around the planet. Red as it should be . A benchmark wine of energy and grace. From skin to core, layered with French expression. Worth it's dollar value as every expensive wine should be but often isn't. We're it not for my wife with me, this would have been the real beauty in the room.

With red mullet, barigoule artichokes "genevoise" sauce. Like a red wine can be famous with fish!

A bit young perhaps but given the vintage I'm not too sure how much better it gets. Could wait another couple of years for it to round out, depending on what you like. Cassis and espresso flavors, tannins were not that firm but there.

Delicious. This is wonderful. Of course, a few more years in the bottle will be beneficial. Long finish. Black fruit. Deep dark color. Still a bit tight. Where is my decanter?
