A phenomenal value in rustic Bordeaux. Old world to it's core. Underripe berry, prune, basement mold, formative acidity and chalky, paper tannins. Great structure and elegance. This is in a wonderful spot now. Complex and changing by the second, but utterly enjoyable. I'm only 27 so I could never have Bordeaux from the 70s and 80s when it was young...but something tells me it was closer to this than many more modern St. Emilions.
