Cahors Malbec

A step above their entry level Cahors, this wine is quite vibrant and nervy, but still very well textured. The limestone minerality is there under the fruit, just where it should be. #IloveMalbec

Had at Brine in Newburyport. Beautiful color and a nice food friendly flavor, not too berry and not too bold

Dark purple juice, tannins for days…but wine, lots of fun, pass the gravy

Little cherry on the nose, some tobacco afterwards, good pairing with pasta all’amatriciana

Nariz: Frambuesa, cereza. Ambos agrios. Regaliz. Nariz un poco funky.

Boca: Algo de fruta en ataque, Tanino M, Acidez M, Alcohol M.

Vino facil de tomar.

Given the overall good ratings, I’d say we definitely got a bad bottle. Funky and undrinkable

Ripe raspberry nose. Starts with wet mouth feel, finish is dry. Fruity, berry tastes.

Almost excellent, front-back acid balance is not well-integrated, could be little more nuanced, but good density and purity of fruit is satisfying. 2016 is a well-behaved and even-tempered vintage.
