Melted milk chocolate on the nose. Muted dark dry fruits, very little red fruit presence, Christmas cake and purple florals.

2011 might be a forgotten vintage but this CB is really memorable. Did a pop and pour and it had great aromatics straight away. Medium to full bodied. Velvety. Layered. Dark berries, herbs, black tea, licorice, bay leaf. First wine on the trip to France. Great start!

Feb 7th, 202418/20 (94/100) Сложный и насыщенный аромат вишни, сливы, белого перца, базилика, мяты, ванили, шоколада и чёрного трюфеля. Великолепно сбалансированное с приятными шелковистыми танинами. Ягоды и чёрный шоколад во вкусе доминируют. Послевкусие продолжительное. Шедевр! (05.10.2017)

Dark, inky crimson, opaque, compact rim.
Classic Cheval Blanc bouquet. Seductively floral - rose petal, lavender, violet. Elegant red fruit profile with fresh mintiness in abundance.
While evidently young and thus structured, this wine is extremely nuanced and soft (in a good way). Sophisticated and complex black and red fruits highlighted by fresh herbal undertone (mint, sweet basil, and thyme). Incredible finish - long and uniquely memorable.
No doubt, it will be spectacular in 10-15 years and beyond. My first young Cheval is exactly everything I was hoping for and more. 94++
