First Bordeaux I've had that smelled spot on of meat locker. Spot on. In a good way (if you like meat and butchery, which I do). One of the things I love about old Bordeaux is that it can have a singular and intense aroma that truly surprises and delights.

Despite the fill level, which was down into the shoulder, this was drinking exceptionally well. Tannins resolved, but plenty of fruit remaining to contrast with the many earthy components. Has an old Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant sticker on the back. He hasn't steered me wrong yet. Now known as Chateau Hosanna.
