Cru Bourgeois Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

Garnet, Medium weight with straightforward black cherry, leather, cigar box, cassis and stone. Well aged. 65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc. It lacks depth but has some charm. It's from a great vintage but Drink now - it won't get better with more age.

This is a pleasant Bordeaux from the disappointing 2013 vintage , the wine is medium bodied with pleasant acidity and classic aromas of : oak blackberry ,earthy notes, dark fruit, blackcurrant, red fruit, cedar smoke, and a mild finish. My score 86, drink to 2021

2016 vintage. A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Cassis and fresh herbs. Medium-bodied, balanced with some complexity and a fresh feel. Nice value at 13,90 euro.

Deep red color. Robust red berry aromas. Full. This #wine has some damp soil. Volume on the palate of red fruit, with some mild tannin and acid.

Needed decanting. After some air was much better.

Really enjoyed this Bordeaux. Good structure on the pallet with a neat finish plus some nice age on it.
