A bit lacking at first. Definitely a food wine. Paired well with ribeye. It’s an upstanding Bordeaux blend for this price point - 50% Merlot %50 Cab Franc. Dry. Chalky. Nice stewed fruits.

Thin and lackluster at first sip. Given a chance to breathe it improved quite a bit. Then we pulled out the strong cheese and cured meats. Ding ding ding! We have a winner! The now smooth silky body of this beauty warmly embraces each taste bud as a long lost friend returned at last. Bottom line? Don’t bother unless you have some bold pairings, but if you do...jump in with both feet.

It opened up after a bit of breathing on the glass, or maybe I just got drunker. But overall a bit spicier than I desire, too bold
