Lovely wine that needs an hour's breathing time in a decanter to fully open. Just beginning to go to garnet, it is maturing nicely. Still plenty of red and black fruit with some emerging secondary and tertiary aromas of tobacco, forest floor and cedar. Lovely medium plus finish

Red dusty aromatics. Dark rich red fruits and tight tannins.

Very enticing nose with black currant leaf, fresh, sappy black currant, a bit of damson plum, cedar wood, some gravelly earthy notes, a bit of mocca and a fresh uplifting mentol note at the finish.
On the palate this is a beautiful classic St. Julien.
Layers of creamy dark fruit with a savoury edge, mid weight on the palate yet with a beautiful coating mouthfeel, the tannins so polished and so juicy, the acidity fresh.
Very elegant and very complete - and quite youthful for 15y. Really nice depth and long finish.
This is quite a wine - not flashy at all, but delicious and quite serious.

Weak vintage showed true.

1hr+ decant. Dark red color. Restrained nose with mild smoke and oak elements. Wine has medium depth and was just my style. Medium finish. Not as good as other vintages, but very enjoyable. It was just toned down in all facets.

Big blend! Back end strong. Fluid and strong. Gets better as you let it fly.
