This bottle was over the hill, to be sure. That said, it’s always nice to taste a wine that holds classic aged-Bordeaux characteristics. The nose was all cigar box and raisin. The palate was soft (the tannins all but eliminated) and flavours were of red fruits and cedar. While the length and concentration left a lot to be desired, still very enjoyable for a Thursday night.
