An absolute hidden gem in St. Emilion. Easily a top 5 producer in all of St. Emilion. Elegant and drinking fantastic for an '07. Kicking myself for not jumping on the '16 en primeur.

Consensus WOTN, magnum. Beautiful nose of cedar and spicy tobacco. Dark red fruit in a soft-as-a-baby's-ass package, with that weighty gravitas only produced by age and good breeding. Thanks, MN! Would've scored higher but started to fade in a tarty-dry thin-ness after 45 mins. Drink up, don't decant.

Wine of the night, displaying extraordinary depth, complexity and elegance. A superb showing.

Day one did not show well, but day two: aromatic black plum and cherry, savory herb, bitter chocolate, espresso bean, slight minty note. Pretty tasty!

Bright and lively, more feminine than the roasted dark red fruits of the Pavie maquin

decanted for 3 hours. Very good bottle but not quite as profound and long as I expected . Not worth the price tag.

Barrel Sample. New label in this vintage. Not as good as the 2015, but has classic mineral and black fruit with elegant spice and good length. 92-94pts
